As we ring in the new year (2022) and the new tax season (2021), we are thrilled to announce that Shaohui (pronounced “SHAW-WAY”) Li, our tax specialist, has earned her Certified Public Accountant licensure.

For background, the CPA license is the accounting profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality. Just as a law license defines a lawyer, the CPA license demonstrates that an accountant has mastered the critical elements of the profession.

Required for licensure are the Three Es: education, examination and experience. After graduating from the Masters in Accountancy program at Bentley University, Shaohui embarked upon the exam: an 18-month journey divided into four parts—Audit and Attestation, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulation (Ethics), and Business Environment & Concepts. In December she completed the final section of the exam.
