Congress Partisanship is Sabotaging the Market

by | Oct 2, 2021 | Market Updates

We had the worst week of the year in the market, culminating in the worst performing month of the entire year. Find out what is spooking the market.

In this video Knight talks about the stalemate we are currently experiencing in Congress. The house progressive Democrats do not want to vote on the 1 trillion dollar hard infrastructure bill until the 3.5 trillion dollar bill is ready to vote on. The senate moderate Democrats will not begin discussions on the 3.5 trillion dollar bill until the 1 trillion dollar bill is voted on. The Republicans are not voting to raise the debt ceiling, hoping to force the Democrats to have to use their one budget reconciliation tool to raise the debt ceiling instead of passing the 3.5 trillion dollar bill. Long story short, it is a mess in Congress, and it is scaring the market.
