Welcome to 2021!

Let’s enjoy a deep long breath saying hello to the new year. May we all enjoy vibrant health and peace of mind as the months take us through four beautiful seasons.

Speaking of seasons, Gayle and Rich are traversing through an important transition, a season in their life that accompanies the full launch of adult children and the decision to “re-size” their home. Through various conversations and communications, you are aware of their home in Maine purchased in 2017 that continues more than three decades of family gatherings, a tradition started with Gayle’s deceased parents. Following that purchase, Gayle and Rich found a small cottage in Bluffton, SC for the winter months and finished renovations last summer. Both locations are primed for Colman Knight connection, activity and reliable space for our work together. Through Covid in 2020, we confirmed our ability to not only survive but thrive in a technology-based world with physical location becoming less and less relevant. Though we love our new Acton offices, we also appreciate the ability to skillfully navigate a changing world.

Integrity is a primary value of Colman Knight and in that word, we include, walking our talk. Gayle and Rich offer their own financial planning as another “kitchen-tested” experience of the journey of Integral Wealth. We are in transition, in a major way, and we offer our whole-body learnings to you for your growth, development and confidence.

First, let us assure you, we are not retiring, not anywhere close. But we are transitioning to a lifestyle and longing that meets us where we are personally, right now, in our deepest aspirations and what matters most to us. You, our precious clients, are included in what matters most.

Presently we are in the process of clearing out our primary Carlisle home in preparation for selling in the spring of 2021. We will remain residents of Massachusetts and plan to rent new space once our home sells. Owning three residences is not our plan, as of this writing.

As you can imagine, we are experiencing many emotions and memories of our life here in Carlisle, which began with an intention and promise to develop and conduct business with the highest fiduciary standards while creating and fully participating in a growing family. Our home and office provided the space to fulfill our dreams and mission. With the exception of a few big storms, we have loved our family life and our work life in Carlisle. And, we knew it would not be forever. In January when we moved our offices, this shift began our transition which continues in the present experience.

Last weekend we traveled to our home and office in Bluffton, SC for a couple of months while the interior of our home is painted. We look forward to connecting with you from a warmer climate!

A look back – and full circle

Back in 1992, The Boston Globe interviewed Gayle and Rich about their strategy for optimal work/life balance, to build an office at home. How interesting that what was innovative then, has become a necessity in these times.

We commemorate the end of the Carlisle era for Colman Knight, with appreciation for what was built within those walls and continues thriving in our Acton office. Enjoy these newspaper archives by clicking for a larger view.

For Year of Wealth 2021, Gayle is thrilled to lead our exploration of our emotions around money using The Inner Map created by Julia Colwell, Ph.D., (based on David Hawkins’ “Map of Consciousness,”) as the guiding structure.
With short videos, writing prompts, silent solo salons and more, we will discover together and individually our unique responses held in our Creative Brain and our Reactive Brain. When we are reactive (scared, sad and angry) our reactions consumes our vitality and well-being. We don’t feel safe, connected, or worthy. Our nervous system is frazzled and agitated. But when we attune to our emotional states with intention, we build awareness that allows us to generate creative energy as we operate from wholeness. We claim our natural, inspired skillful and resourceful energy.
