The problem with ObamaCare is that figures do not lie but liars figure! Not only is the legislation bloated at 925 pages, it is so expensive that $397 billion in revenue increases were needed to pay for it and some of those changes required dubious accounting by our federal government. One of the issues is listed in the May 2nd 2012 Wall Street Journal article: the $397 billion in revenue required for the initiative is added to expenses covered by the Medicare trust fund but some of the savings from the initiative are being spent by Congress for other purposes. This gives Congress the ability to fund other expenses and claim they are reducing the deficit. Although this trick is being used by the Obama administration this year, it has been used by every administration since Medicare was created in 1963. So, the government accountants are cooking their books (and we are paying for it) in such a manner that if it were not the federal government, the accounting sleight of hand would probably wind up with someone going to jail!
